Where you can play

Cash betting depends on where you're connecting from: how to check if it's open for you, and what you can still do if it isn't.

FightBets is open to fight fans in lots of countries, but betting real money isn't allowed everywhere. When that's the case, we switch cash betting off for you.

Note: The website only offers cash betting. Free play with coins is a mobile app feature.

How to check if cash betting is open for you

You don't need to look anything up. The app checks for you.

  1. Open Fights and pick any matchup.
  2. Look at the bet slip.
  3. If you can type an amount and place a bet, cash betting is open where you are.
  4. If the bet slip says Betting is not available in your region, it's not. Tap Info next to that line for more detail.

Note: The check looks at where your internet connection is coming from right now, not the country on your profile. It runs when you open FightBets.

If the location check can't finish

The check runs when the app loads. If you try to bet before it's done, you'll see Checking your location…. Wait a moment and try again.

Sometimes the check fails, for example on a shaky connection. The app tries again on its own a couple of times. If it still can't get an answer, betting stays switched off to be safe, and the bet slip says We couldn't check your location. with a Retry button. That doesn't mean your country is blocked.

  1. Tap Retry to run the check again.
  2. Still stuck? Refresh the page, or try another connection.
  3. If it keeps failing, contact support.

What you can still do from a restricted country

Cash betting being off doesn't lock you out of your money or the community.

  • Deposit and withdraw from your Wallet. Your wallet still works. Your money is yours, and you can always move it out. See Withdrawing.
  • Browse fights and follow the odds.
  • Chat with other fans in the chat.

Age

You must be at least 18, or the legal age where you live if that's higher, to use FightBets. That's in our Terms.

Why is my country blocked?

The rules come from local law and from the market behind FightBets, not from us picking favorites. They can change. If they do, the app updates on its own, so the bet slip is always the source of truth for where you are today.
