Responsible play

How to keep betting on fights fun, take a break when you need one, and find help.

Picking fights with real money on the line is part of the fun. It works best when you only bet what you can afford to lose and it never starts running your week.

A few ground rules that help

  • Set a budget before fight night. Decide how much you're putting in, and stop when it's gone.
  • Don't chase losses. A bad night is a bad night. The next card doesn't owe you anything.
  • Only use money you can spare. Never rent, bills or borrowed money.
  • Keep it social. Talk fights in the chat, watch with friends, enjoy the sport. The bet is the side dish.

How to take a break

FightBets doesn't have built-in deposit limits or a self-exclusion switch yet. You can still step back in a few ways.

Step back for a while

  1. Withdraw your Cash so it isn't sitting there waiting. See Withdrawing.
  2. Turn off reminders. Go to Settings and switch off Fight Alerts, Leaderboard Updates and Marketing. Then tap Save Preferences.
  3. Log out of FightBets on your phone and computer.

Close your account for good

  1. First, withdraw your Cash and claim any winnings. See Claiming winnings.
  2. Go to Settings, stay on the Profile tab, and scroll to Delete Account.
  3. Tap Delete. If you still have Cash or open positions, a warning shows how much, with a link to your Wallet.
  4. Type DELETE, and confirm.

Warning: Deleting your account is permanent and can't be undone.

Ask us to help

If you want a hand stepping away, contact support and tell us. You don't need to explain why.

Signs it might be time for a break

  • You're betting more than you planned, more often than you planned.
  • You feel stressed or low after a loss, or hide your betting from people close to you.
  • You bet to win back money you've lost.
  • You're using money meant for something else.

If any of that sounds familiar, you're not alone, and talking to someone helps.
