Cashing out early
How to sell some or all of your shares before the result, and what to do when a sale doesn't go through.
You don't have to wait for the result. Until the market settles, you can sell your shares back into the market at the current price. That's cashing out.
Why you'd cash out
- Lock in a profit. Your fighter's price went up since you bet, and you'd rather take the gain now.
- Cut a loss. The price went down and you want to get something back before the result.
- Free up cash for another fight.
How to cash out
- Open your Wallet and stay on the Positions tab.
- Find the position. On a phone, tap the row to show its buttons.
- Tap Sell.
- Choose how much to sell with the slider, or tap 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%.
- Check the Receive amount and the line under it, "Selling N shares @ X¢".
- Tap Cash out $X.
If you sell less than 100%, the rest of your shares stay open and still pay $1 each if your fighter wins.

What you get back
You sell at the current price, not the price you paid. Your wallet shows both: the Avg → Now column has your average price and today's price, and Value shows what the position is worth now, with your profit or loss.
Warning: Cashing out can return less than you paid. If you bought at 60¢ and the price is now 35¢, selling gets you 35¢ a share. The loss is locked in, even if your fighter goes on to win.
The Receive figure is an estimate from the current price. The amount you actually get depends on the buyers in the market at that moment.
When a sale doesn't go through
- "Not sold yet." Your order went in, but no buyer took it. You still hold all your shares. It may fill later if a buyer meets the price, or you can try again.
- "Redeem instead of selling." Your fighter's price is at the top of the scale, so there's no room to sell. Wait for the market to settle, then claim your winnings for the full $1 a share.
- "Cash out failed." Nothing was sold. Your position is unchanged.
After the result
Once the market settles, Sell turns into Claim on a winning or drawn position. A losing position leaves the Positions list. See How bets settle.
